Saya Anak Malaysia

Sometimes I have no idea what to shoot with Yume. I just leave her sleeping peacefully, undisturbed rather. Some other times, I have so many to shoot and I feel that I want to share everything with everyone. Well, this time, I feel like sharing a few rather than one. Sorry!

Borakphoto assignment: Merdeka
After five years having celebrated Merdeka day overseas, finally this year I've got the chance to celebrate here in Malaysia! Went to Putrajaya last nite, shouted 'Merdeka!' proudly, sang those patriotic songs as loud as I can (though I forgot some of the lyrics ) and voila saw the fireworks. Terima Kasih Malaysia! Proud to be Malaysian.

Truthfully was inspired by Mr Ezdy's Coca-Cola advertisement shots (, and so I tried to do the same huhu. Did the Clean and Clear shot, and also I asked my dear brother Aizad to pose like some kind of model as seen in ads hehehe. I know I need to learn more about editing, but here are the outcomes.

When the sky turned blue...

The weather was really bad yesterday evening, and so before it rained, I grabbed Yume and captured these. I made it blue because the original colour was so dull. I hate dull colours.

Passion that nearly lost

Another month of summer holiday left.
I don't know why but I keep wanting to put something 'architectural' in my fotopage (since I haven't done so for quite a while), maybe to combine both photography and architecture...As a reminder to myself.

Story of A Kampung House
One of the many reasons why I want to be an architect is because of the traditional Malay house. I love every inch of the house, and was inspired by it. When my grandparents' house in Sungai Baru Kedah was still in great shape and maintained its traditionality (was ruined due to fire many months ago), THAT was my inspiration. It is still an inspiration now and will always be, but the living proof is only old photographs.

Entry on the tragedy of my grandparents' house:

The following are of a Malay house model I did for my International Baccalaureate (IB) Art exam two years ago Spent hours on completing the model, and am very proud of it.

Hands that touch and feel, Eyes that see

In the mood of mix-n-matching...

1. Borakphoto 4th assignment is SILHOUETTE. Truthfully I didn't think that I succeeded the 'silhouette' part, but it sure is a beautiful sunset innit? Using my imagination, I thought the silhouette of the buildings and trees looked like the Great Wall of China...well, a bit.

2. The "Hands and Eyes" as I called it (I know, literally). I just love the shot without any particular reason. Thought I just include it here to further emphasize the 'mix-n-match'

I guess that's it this time. Cheers, and until next time

Still a "Budak baru belajar",
